As Ardhanishvara, Shiva is androgenous, half
male, half female and yet at the some time one god. Shiva Ardhanisvara is another
of Shiva's manifestation in which the symbolism of tantric opposites is more evident:
is the perfect union of the two primordial principles, Shiva and Parvati
